Privacy & data protection.
Plain English. Honest about what we do and do not collect. Written for the version of the site you are reading today — not aspirational.

In short
We don't track you on this website. No analytics, no cookies set by ABIS, no third-party advertising or fingerprinting. The only personal data we hold is what you send us through the access form — and we use it only to reply to you.
What this site does not do
- No web analytics (no Google Analytics, Plausible, Matomo, Mixpanel).
- No advertising or retargeting pixels.
- No cookies set by ABIS.
- No device fingerprinting.
- No session replay or heatmap tools.
What we collect — and only when you tell us to
The access form at /pages/request-access.html
If you submit the access form, we receive:
- First name, last name
- Work email
- Company name
- Your role
- Company size band
- What you are trying to govern (the free-text field)
Purpose
To review your request, decide whether ABIS is a fit, and reply directly. We do not sell, share, or resell this data.
Lawful basis (GDPR Art. 6)
Art. 6(1)(b) — taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract; and Art. 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in following up with prospective customers.
Retention
We keep your submission until the request is closed, plus 12 months for follow-up. After that we delete the personal fields. You can request earlier deletion at any time by writing to hello@abis-cloud.nl.
Third-party services on this site
Calendly
The "Book meeting" button opens Calendly (Calendly LLC, US) in a new tab. If you schedule a meeting there, Calendly's privacy terms apply on their platform. You can avoid this entirely by emailing us at hello@abis-cloud.nl.
Icon and font assets
We load the Lucide icon library and a small number of static assets from public CDNs to keep the site fast. The CDN provider receives your IP address as part of the standard HTTP request, but no information from ABIS about who you are or why you are here. We do not use these providers to track or profile visitors.
Your rights under GDPR
As a data subject in the EU/EEA you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the data we hold about you (Art. 15).
- Rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16).
- Have your data erased — the "right to be forgotten" (Art. 17).
- Restrict or object to processing (Art. 18, 21).
- Receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20).
- Lodge a complaint with the Dutch DPA — Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@abis-cloud.nl. We will reply within 30 days.
About the product itself
ABIS is sold as a self-hosted desktop application. Once you have a copy of ABIS running on your own hardware, no data leaves the building unless you explicitly tell it to. The desktop product does not phone home, does not send telemetry, and does not require an account on ABIS infrastructure to function. This privacy notice covers the marketing site you are reading right now — not the product, which has its own documented data-flow guarantees.
